Load Day 2

This morning, I jumped out of bed because I knew that I could eat whatever I wanted to! It gave me such a sense of power!! I passed up my usual protein bars that I have eaten for breakfast for the last 8 years, and grabbed a jelly filled Krispy Kreme doughnut. It was delicious. It was raspberry filled. Then I ate half of a glazed doughnut with chocolate and Valentines sprinkles on top. I was in heaven!! I wasn't hungry after that and my DH and DS's hung out around the house. Then DH said he wanted to take me out and we ended up at Old Chicago Pizza Restaurant. I ordered the pizza bar. Old habits die hard because I ordered my salad with light ranch on the side. I only ate one piece of pizza and one breadstick and then two small pieces of a meat calzone and I was full. I could not eat one more bite. We left there and went to Krispy Kreme and I used my free doughnut coupons and my sons got glazed mini doughnuts and I ate one glazed full doughnut with chocolate on top. Then I came home and ate two more doughnuts. Who knew that they had lemon filling, raspberry filling, and white filling?? I think I have had one of each!! I don't think that I am going to eat dinner but if I do, I will eat some chicken fingers. I didn't weight today because I could just not bring myself to do it. I have worked so hard to lose back down to 132 and if I see 135 back on my scale, I will throw it out of the window!! Tomorrow starts my VLCD and I will weigh on Wednesday because I am hoping I am in the 120's by then!!

Loading Day 1

Starting Weight: 132.8
Today I gave myself my first injection of hcg (the pregnancy hormone) this morning. Maybe it will also help me with my fertility problem but I have read conflicting information on this. Anywas, it did not hurt at all going in. It is a very small needle, just like the ones that diabetics use. It did sting a little in that area after my shot was over but went away quickly. I was so excited to load!! The first two days on the diet, you have to eat as much food as you can, especially foods with high fat content. It helps to jumpstart the hcg. The hcg eats away at your abnormal fat. Anyways, this was a big day for me because I have not had fattening things in a LONG time. I have maintained my current weight for a while and have always eaten healthy things, just too much of them at times!! My DH and DS's went to Chick-fil-a and for the first time in 5 years, I ate a bacon and cheese biscuit!! It was delicious!! I ate it very fast and ate my hashbrowns. I was feeling pretty good!! We went and got some groceries for when I start the VLCD (DH is already doing it) and then we went to Krispy Kreme. A nice co-worker had given me coupons for free donuts but I ended up ordering a dozen. DH used the free coupon and ate a glazed one even though he shouldn't have!! I ate two doughnuts in the car and I knew that was it!! By not normally eating much sugar, when I do eat it I end up eating it all day!! We went to McDonalds and I was stuffed but I order a crispy chicken sandwich on a wheat bun. I just couldn't bring myself to eat the mayo so I took the top off and ate the chicken, cheese, and bacon. I could not eat the fries!! However, when I got home I ate two more doughnuts!! I hope they have lots of fat in them!! For dinner, I ate some of my DS's chicken fingers and that was it. I cannot eat anymore ever. I am scared to weigh tomorrow but I know that in a matter of days, it will drop off plus more. I might be in the 120's by Tuesday!!

Introduction of Me

I can't believe that I am finally starting the HCG diet! My husband and co-workers have done the diet and have lost 20-25 pounds in just 5 weeks. For those of you out there who just have around 10-15 pounds to lose, you know how hard it is to get those last pounds off! I have struggled with my weight after having two children and I have been able to maintain around 132. My starting weight today is 132.8 pounds. My heaviest was 188 pounds after I had my first son!! I managed to lose all of it and got back down to 130 pounds before getting pregnant with my second son just 18 months after my first son was born. I only gained 18 pounds with him and was 148 pounds when I had my second c-section. I lost it within a few months but ended up around 131 and stayed there. I will go up to 137 at times but by eating a low calories (1,000 calories daily) I have now managed to get my weight back to 132. Yes, it is in the normal range but it is not where I want it to be. My BMI is around 24 and that is too close to overweight for me. I am a size 6 but I want to get back in my size 2's. Therefore I am starting the hcg diet today. For those of you that do not know what it is, go to www.hcgdietinfo.com and you will find more info. I am doing the daily subcutaneous injections of hcg from a doctors office. It involves loading for two days and then starting the VLCD (very low calorie diet) of 500 calories. The protocol for it has been around since the 1960's from Dr. Simeon and is very safe. Most people lose 2 pounds daily but for my weight, I will probably lose 1 pound daily. That sounds great to me!!
